About me:

My name is Andrew Noviello and I am 15 years old and a current freshman in high school (as of Spring 2020). I attend The Lawrenceville School, a private boarding school in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. I have always loved animals and been captivated by conservation. At a young age I joined the scouting program and truly blossomed in it. I went on to achieve prestigious volunteer service acknowledgements, the rank of Eagle, and other awards either from or through my efforts for scouting. I soon realized that I had to do more to give back to the community and environment, and began to pursue the Hornaday Award of Scouting. This award is one of the most prestigious and rare conservation awards for youth in the country, with only about 6 individuals earning the highest level (Silver- Gold is for adults) annually. The award demands the completion of numerous merit badges through scouting and the completion of 4 large conservation-based service projects. These service projects have to make a difference in the community and in conservation, last well past the scout’s involvement, and educate the public. This website is a part of the educational component to all 4 of my Hornaday projects and can be accessed via links on signage at all the project locations. I have always loved the environment and truly want to help through conservation efforts, and I hope that you find inspiration to do the same through learning about my pursuing of the Hornaday Award.
